Tires?????

I am running Michelin Pilots on my 03 XB9S and I love them. I echo the remarks above about the stickiness and wear. I have also had the opportunity of riding an 1125R on the track at Barber Motorsports Park equipped with Pirelli Diablo Corsa III's and they are excellent tires also. Stick very well, but can't really comment on the wear since Buell Motor Co. owned the bike and we only rode the bikes for one day. Definitely the greatest experience of my life!!!:):):)

I run a set of Avon Storms and i think they are pretty amazing as far as I know not alot of people use them on Buells but i took the chance and glad I did. They are great for cornering and damn good in the rain ( for some reason i like to ride in the rain).

Im running Mich pilot road 2's on my 06Ss and they are leaps and bounds over the Dunlops. I really like these tires, they grip very well in the corners and are supposed to last 8 to 10K. Cycle Gear has good deals on tires and mount and balance is only $20 a tire.

Dunlop GP Racers suit the XB well and kick ass thro' the twisties. They don't last long if you go for the softer compounds though. Tried Michelin PP's but didn't get on with the feel of the front end, although tweaking the suspension settings helped.

I have a Pilot Road 2 front and 190/50 Pilot Road on my 06Ss. I love the tires, great grip in the twisties, wet traction, and much more stable than the D208's. I also like the increased turn-in with the 190, but all my thoughts on that are in another thread here. I'll go with a PR2 rear next as long as it's available. All my local shops were out of stock on the PR2's when I needed tires a few months ago and since I had corded the rear dunlop, I had to take what I could get...
