My buddy has an '04 XB9S for sale with 3500 miles on it and a brand new rear end, ( seat, seat...housing,swing-arm, ect; basically everything behind the motor) he used the old parts to build a custom bike with a friend of his and has now paid $1200 for all the new stuff. Anyways he's asking 6 grand for it? Is that too much? Also he's willing to let me pay him over time with no interest.

Taking into consideration NADA is just a guide, it lists an '04 Buell XB9S for an average of $4200. Best way to get an idea of whats available out there for $6,000 is to check out Ebay or Cycletrader.com. You can find some great deals so I'd definitely look around.

Me personally, $6,000 ought to get you a stock '05 XB12S with around the same miles on it as that one. Especially since that one has had everything from the motor back rebuilt. [smirk]

I payed 4200 for my 03 xb9r last year sort of theme same concept, although the rear is new it really shouldn't affect the price. I would say with what is out there $4800 would be the max plus he is your buddy so that should drop the price a little too.

In that case, I'll sell you my 06 xb12Ss for 7800, with the same mileage. Pipe, chopped tail, sliders, LED signals and bar ends.
