Ahhh! The ol' cable question :eagerness:

You must learn the secret the way the elders did, young padwan..... Once you master that, you shall be bequeathed with the deep knowledge of the perplexing toolbag cable.

Venture a guess to what it is??? Hint: You will feel more secure once its mysteries are revealed to you :black_eyed:

Use your noggin'.
(It's a good thing you keep it protected with a helmet while you ride.... right?)

I'm starting to get an idea that the cable is used with a helmet as a security device although I don't see how. Could be wrong. Maybe a tow rope for pulling a mini-bike? Looks like I'll forever be a padawan or a grasshopper who will never leave the temple... (bummer 'cause they don't serve beerskie in the temple)

Guess that leaves a helmet security tie-down? If so, it seems kinda kludgy. Where would it anchor? The tail section seat latch? I suppose I could figure out a way to anchor it to my fly but that might make walking kinda clumsy :concern:

Ding ding ding:eagerness: You win 1000 internet points! It gets looped around your chin guard and either around that lonely shouldered bolt (or seat latch like you mentioned) under the Lightning seat, or under the passenger seat of a R or 1125 theres a little hook. Simple, effective, clumsy and lame haha.

I can't get that picture of you walking with your helmet attached to your fly out of my head!! Like YO bitches.. wut up?

On my Ss, I found a spare boss in the subframe and was able to mount a modified one of these to work as a helmet hook, like how its done on the Japanese bikes. I couldnt find one on the regular S subframe.
I can't remember how I did it on my 112CR's.

I use a Masterlock carabiner lock ($6) hung from a subframe bolt just above the swingarm:

One of these:

Easy to use, and works with the saddlebags on. You can even get two helmets on it with a little effort.
