Top speed?

As close to 100 is nice, means the fuel.mapping is very close and little is needed to correct. 105 is a 5% increase of fueling across the fuel map.

And hate to break it to you, 220 isnt a small guy, its gonna hurt your top speed with air resistance and power[/QUOTE]

If I were 220, I'd FEEL like a small guy.
I'm 275 lbs. and 6'3", and my 06 xb12ss hits 130 mph @WOT.
I think there's another problem.

When I test rode my XB9S, (KN,DnD exhaust Buell Race comp), warmed it up and gave it the berries I had i bouncing off the rev limiter in top gear north of 210 KMH, on a cool day flat road, probably why it spat one of its bearings, but still impressed me.

I don't believe it's any type of mod. My stock ECM had the same central connector. I swapped the ECM about 9 years ago and all I remember is pulling all the conectors/plugs from the stock ECM and reconnecting them to the race ECM.
I'm sure you could check the service manual for a wiring diagram that illustrates what exactly that wire is for.

Read some of the post about the speedo accuracy, funny thing is we all know that the speedo can be off, but I read an article in motorcycle super sport years ago that was talking about speeding tickets and it showed that out of every sportsbike brand Buell was the most accurate!

Ok, I am 5'7" and weigh 210lbs and can easily get to 130 mph on my 09 ULY, crap my pants and then slow down. Running a 190/50 rear tire so I think my speedo is running faster already and might be less accurate without the - %10 add 3 formula? 130 - 13 = 117 + 3 = 120 mph. 2 up I tell myself to keep the speedo needle straight up, 80 MPH and no faster. Then I pass a Semi on the left and find myself hitting 100 mph, which is actually 93 mph or less, I feel a little better about it now anyways. Great info on the actual speed calculations.

I never had a chance to check top speed and I don't think I ever will. Over 105mph it feels wrong to go on this bike any faster. I don't mind doing 140-150 on my mates R6 but Buell=NO over 100mph riding to me.

Well in other news, I installed an air horn on my bike. It might be the loudest horn I've heard. I dont think its a true "air horn" but its very loud. Its a Denali brand I got from revzilla. Only thing is I had to put a new ignition switch in my bike since the stock one is too long for the steering lock, and the only place to put the horn was under the flyscreen. I dont ever use it so I replace it with a much shorter one. Doesnt look half bad and everything works well. It definitely makes people jump!

Im in Sioux Falls. I think ill bump the AFV to 102-103 and see how she likes that. It did make a huge difference in power. Before when I would get on it and shift to 2nd it would pop the front wheel up about 12 inches. Now when I do the same thing itll pop the front wheel up about 3 feet and I can ride the wheelie for a pretty decent distance. I need to get some video of it because it puts the biggest smile on my face.
