Ouch, that's funny.

The only triple digit ticket I got was at 5am on a '86 1000R Ninja (my only vehicle at the time) going to the airport… late… wearing a suit and tie...with a big ass suitcase bungie netted to the back... on the I-5 in So. Cal:)

I didn't even know the Chipper was back there until a trucker tried to run me off the road. He was thinking I was running from the po-po (it was a common thing for them to do back then to "help" them out during a car chase… douchbag to do to any bike though). I slowed down to show him how exactly I felt about that and then saw the lights. Oops!:crushed:

I was home on leave from the Marine Corps when they bombed the Marine Barracks in Beriut. My Commanding Officer cancelled all leave and we had 24 hrs to get back to base as we were shipping out. I was southbound on I-75 just passing the Kentucky/Tennessee border. I was driving a 70 1/2 split bumper Camaro which I had transplanted a 427 with a Muncie Rockcrusher 4 speed. Anyway I got lit up just past the border running 135 mph. The Deputy walked up to the car (with his thumbs tucked into his duty belt) and the first thing he said was 'You know that I am going to take the car, don't ya son'. I pulled out my leave papers and Military ID and explained what was going on. He said he had heard all about it and to sit right here. He went back to his cruiser and a few minutes later returned and told me to stay behind him and to keep up. He led me on a 90 mph lighted escort to the Tennessee/ N. Carolina border. He pulled over just short of the border and said 'This is as far as I can take you, God Speed and good luck'. Then he said a short prayer for me and sent me on my way. That was the closest I ever came to getting a triple digit speeding ticket.

no pics anymore, that was 30+ years, and 3 wives ago. LOl. It had been repainted by PO and was blue with white stripes. Don't remember what the original color was, but remember seeing a different color in one of the door jams. I miss that car.
