Hey Guys,

Is it necessary to disconnect the battery and reconnect it before doing the TPS reset procedure on my '09 XB12R?

Thanks,
-Joel

On the 08-09 xb12, does the bike give you any verification after you complete the tps reset?

The only Verification you will see is the Idle on a Stock ECM on the tach., on the 08+ XBs should be 1'100RPMs steady after the Key turn method TPS procedure is Completed. Unless you are using ECM Spy on it with ecm read and so forth.
Techoresearch has an affordable kit for the buells that is mainly for TPS procedure and Diagnosing problems and shows AFR and TPS readings as well as the ECM as long as you have windows XP [MY Favorite] with the proper cables and USB key comes in the kit.Windows 7 will work as well but slightly different. Ftdi also has the Drivers but usually The Buell kit comes with a Drivers Disc.
The Harley Davidson Direct Link Race Kit works well but Very Pricey, it does the job on the Big Twins. They have other Bike kits as well as Auto and Diesel Etc..,! Drill the hole in your wallet and pour the money out. Get with the Tuniversity if you would like to go further with your Machine. You can't go price wise, wrong with that. *Jimi
