OK so I just finished the breather re-route. Now I need to reset the TPS so do I just go otu and drive it at 3500 RPM for five minutes or do I have to have it reset with a computer?

Yea you need a computer or a dealer to reset the TPS, If you just did the breather rerout unless the bike is running honorably you really dont need a tps reset. For the future get ya a VDST or download ECMspy so you can do it yourself. Or you could see if there is another Bueller in your area that can hook you up.

I second Gator, if all you did is the breather re-route you shouldnt need to do a reset and the bike should actually be running better than before. The only time you need to perform a tps reset is when you change something that is going to effect the fuel/air ratio such as adding an aftermarket exhaust. Hope this helps and welcome.

No TPS Reset needed. I asked the same question a long while back and haven't had any problems. It doesn't impact the A/F ratio enough to merit one.

I was very happy with the result the bike runs a lot smoother at low RPM I ran 25 mph down the street in second and third with no stutter or pop of any kind. I should have done it a long time ago. Next is the exhaust, a K&N, and a remap on the dyno. Thanks for the input.

i just did the re-route on my 06 xb12s,and it made a noticeable change in the low-speed-low-rpm area. i had it backfire and refuse to start a few weeks ago,and with the help and postings here,i found the fouled plug syndrome. in the process of this discovery i went ahead with the mod. piece of cake. i have'nt had a chance to do more than bring it home to give the little woman our first putt around town this year[in 20 degrees] and take it to the other shop. i had no idea that it might require a reset, and no info on how to do it. i'm going to ecmspy!
