I recently purchased a 2004 xb12r Firebolt. The mods include ECM Spy, Jardine GP Exhaust & k&n filter. It runs very well when wide open and at high Rpms but idles pretty rough and often backfires. The previous owner told me I would need to adjust the ECM because it was mapped on a race style. I shortened and re packed the exhaust can and did a custom stainless weld to a 45 bend out the side because the Jardine stainless pipe was unsupported and ripped through the rivets on the aluminum can.
I saw the video on how to reset TPS with the ECM spy software. It seems pretty simple. I am just wondering if that will solve the running rich problem as well as the rough idle and backfiring. She just doesn't like to go slow! Runs best wide open. Trying to achieve a more well rounded range. Thanks!
