Tried to do a throttle position reset but lost my place on the idle adjustment screw now it does not seem to do anything and bike won't idle .if I turn the idle screw too much can it be disconnected ? Is there a starting place for it ? it feels like it can turn either direction for ever .did I break it?

It can come disconnected, just turn it back in till it starts and do the whole tps reset process over again.

Tried that , not getting a response from adjustment screw , how much do I need to remove to hook it back up ?
