Alright, so I've read through some of the other threads on this topic and could not find an answer. What I would like to know is after you get your bike tuned will a TPS Reset have any negative effcts on the way your fuel and timing maps work?

Will I end up needing to retune? Or will the ECM adjust accordingly?

Thanks for any help.

A TPS reset will not have negative affects or change your fuel and timing maps. You should do a TPS reset after any change on the motor. My bike ran funny after changing the plugs until I did a TPS reset. The ecm will "adjust" or relearn on the first ride after the tps reset. On the first ride after the reset, keep the bike between 3000-3500 rpms for 20 miles. This is how the ecm relearns.

I guess I should have chose my words more carefully.... I know the maps are static, but the charts are based off engine R.P.M. and throttle position. So, if you do the reset it will change the way the throttle position relates to the engine R.P.M. and this is what makes the bike run better... But I think I was doing some of my final tuning while the TPS needed a reset and I dont know if doing the reset now will require me to re do a portion of the tuning or if the ECM will make all required adjustments on the "learn ride"...???
