track times

Went to the track tonight with redwhiteandbuell. My fastest time was a 7.557 at 95.77 MPH.. 1/8 mile

cool never tried legal drag racing. sounds like fun tho!!!!!!

We made 6 passes. My best time was 8.215, but can't remember speed off the top of my head (85.XX MPH iirc). I'm on a stock 2009 XB12R (except breather mod), and it was my first time on an actual prepped drag strip. It was A LOT of fun though! The bike felt really good except at the launch most of the time. It stutters so bad on launch. Even at stop lights I feel it a lot of the time. [down]

I'm anxious to get my 600RR buttoned back up and bring it out there one night!

Get the ECM tuned or swapped it for an EBR.
I swapped mine and it made a big difference.
Local short track here in CT does 100ft, front straight, drags on Fri nights and I started out with the stock ECM and it was boggy at times.
With the EBR ECM I really have to hold on.

And a twin is much better for drags than a i4, for a weekend warrior anyways.
Why else did Harley ever actually participate in drags.

he has a micron he's going to want to swap to when he gets his ecm done, I'm still hesitant about working with the 08+ ecms otherwise I'd give it a go

Yeah I have a Micron that I'll get on there sometime, and I was hoping wolfo would be able to tune it for me. The Micron is missing some parts that I need to track down (another reason it isn't on yet). I think it is all straps and stuff. I don't know I haven't looked at the parts list and compared what I have and don't since I bought it over the winter. I still need to order the stuff for my open air box too. I've just been working on my RR and trying to get it put back together from some mods I did to it, so I've just been riding the XB stock for now.
