I have a 02 firebolt and there was a loud howling from the primary/tranny when i put it in gear and i could never get the clutch adjusted right, it kept dragging. So i replace the clutch basket and plates and the same noise was happening. I adjusted the clutch again then this time when i pulled the lever in it broke the c-clip that holds the clutch plates and broke the teeth off that holds the c-clip. any ideas?? thanks!!

I believe you have a bad clutch bearing if it is like a sportster. It is kinda like a throwout bearing and goes under the adjuster. I have not had to do one on a Buell. If you get the noise just setting still with the clutch in. Real easy to change and if it's bad it will throw your adjustment off. I get them from my local auto supply. Ask for bearing number 6200, shouldnt cost you more than 20 bucks.
