I have a tune boy for my Triumph and it ROCKS!!!. Does exactly what a power commander does,(and more) in fact, you can download powercommander maps from their site and import it into the stock ECM. It can diagnose engine light problems and change a lot of parameters that only a dealer would otherwise be able to do. You can make custom maps, Adjust timing, throttle position ect....very powerful program. The menus are great and there are a lot of other features that I am unable to use due to the complexity of the program and my lack of knowledge. Tuneboy fully supports their software and supplies constant updates. Basically you get a program that can be used for a large lineup of bikes (I didn't know this but, the front and rear cylinder have different maps on the Buell) and the difference is you pay for your personal ECM code.
Downside? Price. Expensive for an ECM programmer, but if youre smart enough to use it, (all of it) definately worth it.

cheers for some info. i think it might be cheaper than the other options as im in australia,

Tuneboy AUD$380 +postage
remus powerizer 190 pound plus postage
dobeck 207 euro plus postage

didnt look to hard for better price but i dont think i could get them much lower

Hey Taylor, i just came across this forum and am looking for a tuner. I would certainly appreciate any feedback you have from your purchase and use of tune boy.
After looking at your profile i have all of the same mods as you but my bike is an 09 12r.
keep the updates flowing.

im going to try and tune the bike this week. i have the tuneboy program already im just waiting for them to send me the key to open the program. when you buy tuneboy they send you the cable and the CD. they will want you to hook up the bike to the program and emai information to them, ie. SN: and info that was pulled from the bike.
once they send me the key ill be ready to go. the tuneboy program cost was about $330. ill let you know when its done.

just a heads up tuneboy did not work on my bike. wayne at tuneboy could not figure out why. so now i have to figure out something differnt. im sending it back with full refund.

why use tuneboy when you can use ecm spy for free and buy a cable for around $46? Does it do anything that ecm spy doesn't?

Bummer on the tuneboy.

My worthless opinion is the new Direct Link stuff looks the most promising. The auto tune feature, (if it works), looks to be the way to go. Something like the Powerizer would work if an O2 emulator was used in conjunction with it. It may come with an O2 emulator, (like the Power Commander for Harley's), but I do not know. That Power Commander setup with autotune module for a Harley is a nice simple setup. I am hopeful the Direct Link will be close.

Thanks for posting your results, and thanks for trying the tuneboy.
