Tuning problem

Okay so I downloaded all the software to tune my 09 bolt. I pulled up the ecmread and tried to hook up my bike and fetch my eeprom. But for every option for selecting my ecm, the only one that tries to work is COM3. But once I click connect, it says there is an error and the bike isn't connected. Kill switch is on ignition is on. I went to the messages and it said there was a problem with the cable. So im thinking that the wires in the cable are backwards when I hook up to my ecm? Any help is much appreciated!

Try 22 thsts what I use, may need to install the driver.

Is the driver just the disc that came with the cable?
