Turbo 1125......? Hmmm...... Lol like I need more than 146hp any way! But would be nice to see what an 1125 can do under extreme tuning/modifications

An 1125 on 6psi would probably last a few thousand miles. Would put down 200ish rwhp. The issue with twins and turbos is that the motor outputs pulsed exhaust gases which is not efficient in spooling turbos. Turbos like a smooth exhaust flow and big volume which is why inline 4s do very well with them. It's been done on TLRs and RC51s in the past but with dissappointing results. If they did well with twins then the prostock guys would be running them all day.

I hand built my 430rwhp Turbo R1 that runs on e85 and did all the tuning. So I am offering personal insight here on FI.

well, im kinda turn off now after reading all these respond. i guess i will just keep my buell and get a busa and turbo it.

ericz was able to get ~175 hp out of his xb12. The problem he had was their is too much compression from the stock piston, which are also cast instead of forged. Keep in mind that the original xb's were designed to be FI.

dallas, I'm pretty sure it started out as a 9

Maybe so. I can't seem to find the link that I read a few months ago in regards to the diablo project. IIRC there were to be 3 versions; 9, 12, and a TC version. Either way, it would have put out roughly the same amount of hp as the 1125's do today. It is completely possible to boost a vtwin, just takes more time and skill to do so.

Here is the link to ericz's project in case anyone is interested.

170hp out of a nightrod? That's nothing. It's a 1600cc right? And the engine was co-developed by Porsche, it should produce way more then 170.

ericz made putting a turbo on these look easy.

he scrapped his turbo 1450 project and is doing a 1250 kit with turbo on an 07 xb9 now

The newer v-rods are 1250cc. Still definitely dissappointing that they usually put down sub 100rwhp.

V-RODs have aither the 1130cc or 1250cc engines. Some of them had the 1130, and the newer models have the 1250. Not too sure where you got 1600cc from.

magic that video is AWESOME one adjustment and you get a nice window in your crank case. I still want to do it tho

I looked into it after this video but looks cheaper to buy another bike if you want more speed. I'm looking into a r1
