Personally - I can't stand the led ones, because you can't see them during the day (well - most - I've got them on my car and I'm going to be replacing them soon). I modded my stock R's by shortening the rubber shaft. If you take apart the blinker assembly, you'll see how it all fits together. I think I took anywhere between 1/2" to 1" off the stalk and now they look close to Willie's rears. I'd love to take some pics for you, but I'm 1000 miles away from my bike at the moment. Give it a try as it's essentially a "free" mod - just takes some time. But I understand if you still don't like the huge bulbous look of the stockers. Hopefully during the summer I can come-up with some DIY replacements on the cheap. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Yea i shortend my stock lights but i think i still want something neater looking... i like the r1 style

Ah - I did find some of these on ebay this morning. Look alright from the pics.

They're normal bulbs under the covers, not leds, so you won't have any faster blinker issues.:D

I'm thinking about getting a pair for myself!

Me? I'm using the stockers, just shortened. I'm planing a DIY taillight/blinker assembly when I get back home - but there's so many projects that I've got planned, that might go to the back burner.

No, drilling but they were not a staight fit.

The shaft was too wide so I thinned it down with a dremel then mounted the blinker with 3m tape.

Made my own setup for the rear.

First one cost me nothing.

All of them have worked great!

I really like the tail/blinker combo, just nervous to try it. Heck I just may go for it today....

Riderdie - are you using a clear cover with the leds, or do you just have a "red" blinker using the stock cover? I'm afraid that you wouldn't even see the blinker on if the brake light is lit up. Pics?

Red cover with stock blinkers. They all turned out pretty good just kept tinkering with it to get it crazy bright

This was the original setup. Since it blinks there is no problem telling the two apart
