We've been asked to do a group buy for the Twin Motorcycles 1125 Intake Stacks.

Here's the product on our site: Twin Motorcycles 1125 Intake Stacks @ 5-0dro.com

We can offer these for only $130 (shipped to your door! Cont. US only...International will be $30 more) for 10 or more orders. Here's how it will be structured:

*If you want to be in, Copy the list below into a new post with your name (ie. 1 - 50dro etc.)

*Once the list reaches 10 or more (I'll be posting this elsewhere also to help get there) I will release a coupon code for the discount.

*At that time, you'll be given a 2 week period to place your order on our site.

*We will then place our order through Twin Motorcycles for the parts.

*If the 10 or more people don't come through with payment you will be given a full refund or the option to pay the regular price.

*Note - This group buy could exhaust Twin Motorcycles' current stock so you may have to wait for them to be produced. We will be sure to communicate this.

Thanks for your participation!

What kind of performance boost do these boast? anyone who has one installed want to chime in?

Sorry about the link. Thanks Netty! Would a mod please correct it for me? Thanks...

Ag: Check the link on our site:

144.2 HP and 121 NM of Torque SAE Corrected on a stock 1125CR with:

Intake stack

K&N filter

Twin Motorcycles fuel map

Stock exhaust with CAT

There's a pic of the dyno results too.

If you have a race ecm would you have to remap? (ie ) would it run leaner with more air?

I asked TM a similar question about this for another customer. Here's their response (this customer has a Barker exhaust BTW)

"As we have never seen a ECM from EBR wit a tune for that we don't know.

Is it a full race ECM of EBR or is it a upgrade in the stock ECM from EBR?.

As you can see in this picture: http://www.dragbike.nl/pictures/pictures 2010/bonneville/stockjardineshortstackopenairbox.jpg

The amount of HP and Torque after the propper tune is a lot.

We don't advice you without a dyno run before stock and and after the install of the stacks to go for this.

The dyno reading should be done in both headers.

Offcourse we sell a tune for that setup. Barker asked us to test the exhaust for them and we did (-:

This is the product you need: http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/websh...s=reflash&a=&aname=TM_ECM_Reflash__all_models

And we need to reflash the ECM. We can do that online. You need to connect the bike to a PC with this cable: http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/websh...&aname=Twin_Motorcycles_USB_programming_cable

Then you need to install a free program called Team vieuwer. Then put a battery charger on the bike the night before and keep it on while we try to connect to the bike.
To do this the bikes needs to be connected to a pc that is connected to the internet.

Or send us the ECM and we send it back."

Let me know if you need me to look into it further for you or feel free to contact TM Tech support directly at [email protected] for more info.

Thanks!

My worry is if I have to send my ecm over seas for a new map.Sounds like it could go way wrong for $130.00
my 2 cents. If you can get a better answer , I would like to have those gains in hp!

They do a remote install of the map, you don't have to send the ECM to them. Says it right here:

According to the email I posted, they can do it via the web while you connect your bike to a computer but you'll have to buy the tuning package. You may opt to talk with TM directly so they can consult you better for your exact setup?

Is the EBR ECM dyno tunable? Admittedly, I'm not as in tune (padron the pun ;) ) with the 1125's.

PM me if there's anything else you need me to find out for you.

Agate- I sent them my ECM for there tune with there Torque Hammer Pipe. Did a great job with shipping and tune. In a well secured box. Hope this helps!

If i didn't just get the ebr race map for my keda exhaust i would be on this.

I think I may contact EBR to get their read on using these with their ECM. It sounds like many of you have this setup...Will let you know what they say!

I don't think I would mess with an EBR ecm, I would send them/remote connect to a stock ECM and let them tune it, not that I'm scared it would mess up the EBR unit, but, it is gonna be hard to find EBR ecms before long, and they/EBR will reflash/tune them as long as no one else has messed with them, JMHO

I'm more concerned and curious for those of you that already have the EBR ECM and would like to buy these. Getting the TM Tune is likely the best way to go as they have specific experience with this part but I wouldn't want to pitch an expensive EBR ECM for a $130 part. The question is definitely valid...Whether we'll know for sure without dyno time is another thing. I'll let you know what I find.

PS - At this point we have 3 people on the list for the group buy (none here yet..cough...cough :p )

I would be interested in this as well. I have both setups EBR ECM w/stock exhaust and a EBR ECM w/KEDA RT3. But I think Dean had said his tune was boarder line lean already. I think their is a post on badweb about this setup and EBR said their ECM would adjust for the stacks. Of course the best for sure thing would be to have it tuned of course. But I would be interested in what you find out Dro and thanks for doing this!

Sure thing Red!

BTW...We're up to 5 interested so we're half way there! [up]

OK...Spoke with someone at EBR concerning using these stacks in combination with their ECM. EBR's ECMs are pre-loaded with a tune for a bike that has a hi flow (K&N) air filter and the given exhaust that it was advertised for. They haven't done any testing with velocity stacks in conjunction with their ECM so he was hesitant to say for sure what the effect would be without proper testing and knowing a little more about the stacks dimensionally. He suspected that it may change the characteristic of the power band slightly. He compared it to putting a slip-on pipe or a K&N filter on your bike on it's own without a proper tune...It will change the characteristic but it won't likely be as optimal as a custom tune for your exact setup. He felt pretty strongly that the stacks wouldn't lean it out to the point of damaging your engine (but of course wouldn't guarantee it w/o testing).

His recommendation was to at least do some before and after baseline testing to to see the effects of the stacks to HP and fuel mixture. He didn't think that EBR would be willing/able to create pre-programmed ECMs for every exhaust combination with and without stacks considering all the other development that they are doing with their production and race efforts and the small number of 1125s in the grand scheme of things. He did say that he may be able to do the baseline dyno tests if he could borrow the stacks to do so, but of course he would have to get approval for this and it could be a while for him to get a free dyno so no promises there. I would want to clear this with TM or let them handle it directly as the stacks are their design.

Of course, if you have the fully programmable EBR ECM you could make whatever adjustments you would like by dyno tuning.

I hope this helps. I will update you if anything else develops on my end.

Thanks!
