I'd really like a Uly, either for trade or to buy as a second bike. I think it'd suit my needs better.

What do you all think of the pricing on this? I think he's way high, and checking one of the Uly's for sale here on the board (which I'd buy if I were closer), this guy seems off the mark a bit. It's a beautiful bike though, so I wanted to get your opinion.

Looks like a nice bike. Little high price for me for the miles, but Im sure if you make a good solid offer you could own a nice ULY[cool]

For comparison, I just picked up my 08 Uly (same color), with 5100 miles for $5500 and feel I got a good deal. I spent $600 on tires, fluids, filters and a pipe. About $6100 in total. Squid's right, $7g's tops.

Very true, I really want more of a touring and off road bike and was hoping to get Uly and modify it, but I can wait on that I think. Thanks guys!

Nice, clean Uly, 2010 model, books at around $8200... I'd offer him $7500. It's what you want, and close to you. Thee mileage is NOT an issue at all, and i tend to think that Uly guys really keep after the maintenance on their bikes (like BMW GS guys...).

How long do you want to wait? :)

Rhino's got a good point. I searched for 2.5 months to find my Uly, they just seem hard to come by. I was about to fly to Colorado and pay $7500 for one at a Stealer-ship and ride it home. It does become a question of how long can you wait. If you're willing to pay $7k is the extra 500 really a deal-breaker?

An extra $500 isn't, no. Especially for the proximity. But I have a Firebolt that is my only vehicle and paid off, and I'm trying to weigh the benefit of having a bike that's better for an only vehicle with having a payment. Granted, I could sell the bolt for probably around $7k right now (at least, a lot of people are interested at that price), so it'd be a trade eventually.

It rains too much here to be bike-only. I'd get a $2500 Ford Ranger, put minimum liability on it then save for a Uly. If the bike breaks down you can haul it to a shop. I've seen bikes sit in shops for weeks waiting on parts or the mechanic to get around to it. Good luck and hope you do get your Uly, it's the most fun street bike I've ever owned.

Yeah haha, that's pretty much my plan except I was looking for an older Tacoma. Having a truck on the sidelines would make me feel a lot more secure in case certain situations arise.
