I put my 08 xb12x into storage about 4 months ago and when I went to start it it fired once then cut out. Now it turns over with no results. The temp was 45f. Any suggestions?

fuel pump still prime? ne check engine light? always check air, fuel, spark. Check all ur fuses. And check for bad grounds (possible corrosion after storage)

Battery tender is a must when storing the bike for any length of time. If the battery is weak the plugs sometimes foul. I had this happen once when i stored my bike. I replaced plugs & had dealer update the ecm. I keep a battery tender on my bike when it sits any lenghth of time.

How long can you keep a battery tender plugged into your bike for?

They have circuitry built in to either cut charging, or to switch over to a monitor trickle mode. But it's unnecessary to leave one on a battery tender for several days. One it uses electricity unnecessarily and two, I've found that my bike has a hesitant start (like it's drained slightly) if I leave it on a tender all the time. What works best is just to tender it to full charge once a week.
