My wife let me escape the house today so I could work on the tail tidy. Took a couple of hours to cut it out, bend it and test fit to make sure it would fit. The template was spot on except for the lock mechanism hole - it was too far forward and contacted the tip-over sensor. We had to move it back about 1.5". I was going to fill the extra hole but realized I need a hole to run my wiring, so I'll just install a grommet there. I still need to round some edges, do a little trim work and paint it but I think it came out pretty good. I'll probably move the inspection sticker bracket behind the license plate to clean it up even more. I did notice there is a gap between the tail tidy and the bottom of the tail, so I'll need to come up with something to seal it off. I have an idea of what I want to do, but it requires removing the tail piece and I didn't have time for it today.
