Ulysses Fender Compatibility

I have an '09 XB12XT and I recently purchased a fender from the XB12X model (duck bill). I just tried to install it, but it seems that the headlight housing is too low to allow the holes to line up. I tried loosening all the mounting bolts on the headlight to no avail. Can someone with an XB12X post a picture of how their fender is mounted?

Did you remove the little bracket at the bottom that holds the headlight to the triple before trying to fit the duck bill?

The one that allows vertical adjustment of the headlights?

Looking at the fender again and I think I know what you mean. The bracket should be on the bottom side of the fender, correct?

I am still looking for a cheap second hand set.

They are non existent here in South Africa...

I think it is removed all together when fitting the duck bill, the duck bill attaches to the lower triple and it has a slotted section in it for adjusting the headlight position.
