Ulysses header removel

I would like to remove the exhaust header to wrap it with fiberglass ,what all do I have to disasemble to get to the rear cylinder bolts ? Does that mono shock have be taken off at the top ?

neal: oh9bolt's link is perfect. i actually got my header off with assorted 1/4 inch swivels and custom sockets. getting it back on without engine rotate was a damn nightmare. for what it's worth i wrapped the header on both my lightning and firebolt with header in place. 12,000 combined miles later both are holding well and looking good. be sure to soak the wrap in warm water for several minutes before install as the drying process on startup shrinks the wrap and tightens it up.

I also did my bolt with the header still on and it wasn't that bad. I also agree that soaking the wrap helps a ton. It makes it nice and tight when it dries. Just be aware that depending on which wrap you use it will be messy with the water coming off the wrap. I used the black on mine and was really messy but turned out great. Good luck!

Use the dei titanium no water no mess and better heat resistance.

DEI Titanium 2" x 50'. Header stayed on the bike.
