Universal spark plug wires

Has anyone used wires or wire ends from a universal wire kit designed for cars? I was just curious because I have some leftover Accel 8mm wires and ends just sittin around.

It shouldn't be an issue. The bike won't know the difference. It just transfers electricity.

Thats what I figured. I know theres a debate of carbon vs spiral wound. Which would you use?

I couldn't give an intelligible answer to that question. I am more of a K.I.S.S. man. I believe that the Buell brand is engineered superior to most of the brands out there, but I also believe in saving a buck whenever I can. So if you got the "extra" lying around, go for it.

Last week I went to Kona Harley to get a new one for my Blast and they pretty much blew me off. Went to a Japanese bike shop and they told me it's the same exact wire that's on older American v-8s' .. one of the guyz spent like 20 mins. with me and gathered up all the parts so I could make the wire myself.
