Unknown connector and ecmspy issues

Picked up a 04 xb12r a few weeks ago. Finally stopped raining long enough to ride some. Open air box mod with K&N, Buell race exhaust, and not sure about ecm. 29k miles, idle is a bit low and almost like a misfire or hesitation under 3k rpms. Got a cable and ecmspy to try a tps reset. Terminal echo works on the cable and ecmspy loop back test seems to work, but it won't connect to the bike using the plug under the left side of the fairing. Any suggestions? I also noticed there is a 4 terminal greyish plug under the seat. All 4 are side by side and it's not connected to anything. What is this plug for?

Most likely a driver issue.

Probably the exhaust servo wiring that you no longer have.

Missfire

Add another earth wire from the battery to the mount for the coil. I had been chasing a miss at 3000rpm for years, this solution fixed it.
