Hey everybody out there. My wife and I are planning a trip to Vegas in July on our Uly. I talked to a guy that said I would probably have to change the oil when I'm down there. Is this a common occurance or is he just talking? We will be in vegas for 3 days and riding north up to Missoula, MT before heading back home to Alberta. Just trying to be prepared for things before we go. If anyone can expand on the Nevada experience I would greatly appreciate it.

Why did he think you would need to change the oil? It is crazy hot here right now (105 today on the way home from work today on my Ss), but unless you have some super light oil in your bike you should be fine. I'll pm you my number, maybe we can go for a ride while you're here, there are some damn nice roads down here!:D

Maybe he was talking about you running into one of the service intervals? Have a good time on your trip

Miami that sounds like a plan. Hopefully there is enough time for a ride.
Hammel I think that guy thought I was running olive oil or something light that would break down in the heat. Right now I am running H-D screaming eagle 20w50.
kalifornia you never know until you try right? Most definately pictures to follow.

Thanks guys
Kel

You'll be fine with that oil down here, should not be a need to change it. I'll avoid riding during the midday/afternoon of the days that get 110+, but I'd be happy to take you guys on some morning rides before it gets too hot!
