Updated my X1

Buellxb Forum

Help Support Buellxb Forum:

ill have to find the pics i took of the headlight mounts. Made a few rapid prototype mounts to get my spacing right and then CNCed them.

Thanks! Looks really good! I wanted to do this to the S1 but I never could pull the trigger on it. I like the no fly screen look too.

Looks GREAT! I think it looks a little more custom now, rather than looking like it was mimicking an XB. But both iterations look awesome.

I kinda liked the old air-cleaner better, but maybe it wouldn't flow with the angled Vrod light.

I think it's the width and the bareness of the bars that makes them stand out and look extra tall. But comfort is more important than internet likes. I've considered clubmans on my lightning a few times... in the end, I'm comfortable. And so is my wallet.

:)

Ahh, those Sportster based bikes are just girls bikes! [smirk]

I hear that crap all day long, Fuk em i say...

Your bike is the coolest in your face streetfighter ive seen in a long time. great job. Its gotta draw some WTF? looks wherever you go. Good job, I am a big fan of vintage cafe racers (IE Norton, BSA Triumph, etc) but clip ons or Ace bars dont always make the bike, yours is just fine with what you have on there. The bar end mirrors are fine as well, If it were me I would mix retro with the modern and go with some "Stadium" styled bar ends blacked out or the chrome. (they have a u shaped loop). That Air cleaner is pretty cool. I like the forcewinders as well... but hard to justify the prices they charge for them, If you MADE your own its even better than some off the shelf parts purchase. Style wise I really like the tubers better than the XBs
Good job. 2 [up][up]

I agree with Internet Annoyance, I don't think the clip-ons would benefit your bike either from a comfort or style point of view

Very cool bike, and I too keep coming back to look at the pics. You should submit it to bikeexif.com! Buell could have learned a thing or two from you in the styling category. The bars fit will, imho. How come you don't have front axle sliders?

hey boss ,you keep toping yourself!the best looking bike i have seen ! you still have the dual headlight and gage cluster ?i dont have your skills to replicate the dual look ,but would love that look!thanks!

thanks, its ripped apart in the garage right now getting a few more mods-

i do still have the dual xb light setup but not ready to part with it just incase i feel the want to go back to it.

lol- i liked the dual XB lights but i think the v-rod without a flyscreen gives it a more muscle bike look.... Thats why i want to keep the XB lights though just incase i feel like switching back, all the custom work is already done and i do not have to redo it. Just bolt on, plug in, and go.

Have you considered make more of those tail sections? I am picking up an x1 on saturday and your subframe is inspiring me to do something similar but ive never worked with bending piping or being able to have clean welds.

That is like the best looking tuber I have seen! [cool][up]. WAY cool. Everyone has an opinion, but it's YOUR bike - there's nothing you should change.

Your bikes cool man. This is the third change you've made to yours whilst I've been doing mine and it still ain't done yet... Anyway cool bike [up]
