i have a neat little excel file that will tell the inertia force from a rotating v twin engine. anyone interested in it? you can change the v angle, balance factor, bore and stroke, etc. it provides a graph of the forces in the x and y direction. idk how to host a file other than a picture though.

edit: here is a rapidshare link. http://rapidshare.com/files/375607426/v-twin_balance.xls.html it can only be downloaded 10 times.

i suppose some directions would be nice. the y direction is along a line that falls halfway between the banks.
-s is stroke.
-l is conrod length.
-l/a is conrod length/crank throw or(1/2 stroke).
-m is the reciprocating mass. mass of everything that moves up and down, piston, conrod, wristpin, circlips.
-b is the balance factor. 0 is no counter weight and 1 would be a counter weight equal to the reciprocating mass. .6 would be 60% of m.
