Valencia Orange XB12

Hey guys I just got a 2007 XB12SCG and I'm loving it so far there's just one thing I'm not to fond of and that's the color scheme. Its the Valencia Orange with the Amber wheels. Here's a pic...

Any way just wondering if some one would like to trade these colors for the cherry bomb red?

Loving this forum BTW it's very informative. One of the best forums I've been a part of.

I think you would like the colors better if you went with black wheels or painted the other small pieces of the bike to scheme together. It all depends what direction you want to go

Try craigslist, my bike was bright yellow when I bought it but I put an ad on craigslist, met some guy in a parking lot 20 minutes away, we swapped bodywork and were on our way with what felt like a new bike.

Also, I used to hate all the bikes with gold wheels, but the black bikes with gold wheels have really grown on me so if you found a color you really liked you might not mind the wheels as much. Not too sure how they'd look with the red though.

Yeah I already put up an ad on craigslist. I really like the Cherry bomb red color scheme, thought I'd give it a try and see if anybody wanted to trade. I might just have to cough up the money for new parts or paint everything.

paint everything.

Whatever you do please do not paint the translucents. You can paint everything else but the translucents are worth some dough. you would be better off selling them. especially orange it is pretty rare

Go back with scotchbrite and wd40 and shine those headers.

i actually had that exact same model as you have.

i didnt like all the different colours. the amber/ orange. the grey frame, silver tail, alu forks with different bottom colour. different engine colour. etc. got the better of me and i tried changing a few bits, and coloured the tail and headers... but, in the end i sold it and went '09
