Im trying to tune my 1125r. Im using ecmspy fit mono to datalog. I can open the file in megalog viewer but when I run the ve analyzer it tells me there no tps 8 bit in the log....help?

Not many ECMSpy Mono users here, bud.

Have you tried e-mailing the dev team directly? Maybe peruse Buelletin Board?

Q: MLV is complaining about TPS-8bit not found in the log file. What happened to the TPS-8bit value?
The TPS-8bit value, which represents the Y-axis in all DDFI and DDFI-2 maps, has been renamed to 'Load' (rear cylinder) and 'Load1' (front cylinder, where applicable). DDFI-3 won't use the TPS input on it's own for calculating load, but is capable to add MAP sensor input to this calculation also. This is reflected in the new name and requires an adjustment of the MLV software.

This is all I can find on it

MLV should work on maps saved from the Maps tab, and adjusted maps should be loaded here again.

I haven't used MLV for VE adjustments for years now, as the adjusted maps weren't very satisfying. In case of open loop, cross checking adjustments using a WB-O2 sensor showed that they were not even near of being correct. This is not a problem of MLV or the VE analyzer, but that MLV is written for use with the Megasquirt EFI, which seemingly has a different EGO correction algorithm built in and that evaluation of a NB-O2 sensor voltage does not work as expected.

In the end it turned out that manual adjustments, based on the average correction or average AFR maps of the still to be released EcmSpy Version 1.1 provided better results, at the cost of more adjustment runs and more effort. I also recommend to log at least 500 mls. of everyday use for comparison reasons and to learn how to interpret the results.

Gunter

Clear as mud to me
Any thoughts?
