Hi. I have a bit of an issue with my '04 XB12R. It runs very rough when cold, so much so it misses a lot and almost stalls even when given some throttle. Once warm it is OK. I've not changed anything since I got the bike, which is a fair few months now.

Any pointers?

They aren't the kind of bikes you just get on and go...are you giving it a fair warm up time? 5to7 min?

yea make sure you give it time to warm up, these things will act out if you dont. You will also risk fouling a plug if you jump on it right away and not let it warm up. That could be your problem.

Best thing to Sonia replace the plugs. My 04 runs great but it definitely needs to be warmed up. Please tell me you don't just start the bike and go... :(

But missing is not good, to may need to change your plugs as these bikes like to foul them fast. Plug wires wouldn't hurt to hange either.

I didn't know I was supposed to let the bike warm up. Bloody dealership didn't tell me.

ich: adjust wue? Not getting what you mean :)
christianmb: no mods done since I purchased it. It has a K&N filter, everything else is stock.

Are the plugs easy to reach? I may just change them as a matter of course.
