I pulled the can off and gutted the fat end then I welded on an exhaust tip of of a Corvette. Sounds pretty cool. Surprisingly, its not as loud as I thought it would be. I haven't had any power loss or any more popping on decel then usual. I'm gonna pull it back off and paint it this weekend.

Yeh man I think that looks awesome. Kind of looks like a GP style exhaust or something. If it has any kind of tone close to a vette I bet that sounds mean.

This looks interesting to me. How is the sound. What did you gut from the pipe. Can you post a video of the sound?

I'm not going to tell you it looks bad. But I am going to say that I think you should shorten it. it could look really nice.

looking at it now all I can think is GSX.

lets see a front or rear pic. It might look better than what the pictures show, considering the angle.

Hahaha i get it its a joke right? Sorry but that would never see my bike. To each his own i guess but i would say if you do something on the lines of dannenvance it could look clean

Yeh I saw your post DanneVance and that is when I ordered my Corvette tip. I like what you did and it sounds good.

Ill try to get a video posted soon. Im not sure how well it will capture the sound but I think it sounds 100 times better then the stock.

Thanks Gnome, I appreciate the thumbs up. I agree the tips are great looking and size proportionate to the bike and the sound (gutting + new tips) really gives it a great growl without being obnoxious. Here's to future mods...!
Get a sound clip up when you get a chance.

I tried my phone and it didnt really capture the sound very good. I'm gonna look into borrowing a camera and see how that does. I really like the sound.
