We need a dirt bike thread!

Not a buell but I know there's some folks on here who'll appreciate my pick up this weekend.
Those of you who've met me know I'm into vintage bikes, ect. I'm extremely excited about this bike :)

1986 KX500 2 Stroke.

99% finished with all stainless bolts, ect. It's essentially a brand new 25 year old bike.
This is probably the meanest dirt bike I've ever owned haha.
Let me know what you think!

If anyone else has vintage bikes, stories, let's hear em, let's see em!

He a fan? Lol when I get back to my computer I'll post pics of some other old bikes :)

Hoping some other ppl share some stories, pics, I love old dirtbikes lol[up]

Here's my old dino, CR500.
14463_20120729205853_L.jpg

Bought it when I was 16 from a guy I worked with. Very good condition for it's age. I rode the piss out of it, when I wasn't busy cleaning and polishing it, till I bought my 450. I tore it down, got it ported, and still haven't put it back together. That was about 7 years ago. I don't miss the loctite and horrible vibrations she gave me, but man did she rip!

I have actually tried to sell it a few times, but people want me to sell it for next to nothing. I think last time somebody asked I told them 800 and I was almost that much into the new top end and the port job. Sucks because the thing is more clean than the 04 yz450 I bought brand new and is still not worth crap

that is easily the most pristine and cleanest dirt bike I have ever seen, looks like it just rollled off the factory floor

I'm in Utah. Pretty sad that I have all the parts sitting right here to put it together but instead I spend all my time on this damn forum:D

Junkbone, its my understanding that lots of ppl hurt themselves on bultacos haha
Haha.Yes. I did. The bike was just so cool. The shifter and kickstart was reversed, and then you had the cool name factor. On top of that 360cc, a twelve year old kid feeling bullet proof... These things landed like a Zeppelin
