Hi all.

The voltage regulator on my 06 XB12R gave up the ghost.

What should I be replacing it with? I seem to recall having read somewhere that there was an upgrade to the regulator or the connector.

Thank you for any advice you may give me.

There are upgrades to both if you are having charging system issues.

The 77 connector should be looked at to see if it's burnt or melted. The stock VR is usually OK on the XB's. It's the 1125's that were sketchy.

You can still upgrade from the stock shunt style VR to a MOSFET style if you like to play with wiring.

FYI - Just because you go with a MOSFET VR, it could still be shunt style VR... the MOSFET just does the shunting more efficiently...

Cooter and Sirius.

Thank you both very much. I will likely replace it with OEM, rather than mess with the wiring. The connector is fine.

Take care.
