As some of you already know, ive been chasing electrical issues on my xb9s for a couple weeks now. And the other night it came home on the back of my truck after leaving me stranded. So I came home from work today and I figured I would mess with it. Jumped it and got it running so I put my tester on the battery and watched it as it idled. Was charging at 14.83 as it idled but did not change with more rpm's. So I let it just sit and idle in my garage as I watched the meter and after about 10 minutes it just shut down (like it did to me the other night). And when I pushed the start button, nothing but clicks. Would this be the VR? And if so, anyone got one for sale for a 2003 xb9s? Thanks alot

Got 2 that fit your bike, tested both and the are giving the same readings that mine does so they are working. Pm me or text me. I sent you my number.

check the plug on the VR. i had an issue to where my bike was not charging the battery and would go dead while i was riding it (well when i would come up to a stop sign or light). i check every thing and the pins inside the plug were a little melted and would make contact when it was on the stand and with out the chin fairing. once i would bolt everything up it would then loose connecting. i cleaned up the plug and replaced two of the pins and when i put it all back together i made sure that plug was in a good spot and not be pulled apart or being pushed to one side. the bike has been fine ever since. i even bought a new battery thinking my battery was bad since it was the orginal one and same thing. fixed the plug and put on the old battery. good as new :)

Mc4life, no plug left on mine. Hard wired it. With all the issues these plugs have, ive eliminated it in hopes that was the problem. Obviously wasnt the issue though haha. Thanks
