Washing the 1125

Hey guys, walked through the cleaning aisle last night and was overwhelmed with the amount of products available.

Just curious what your go to products are when cleaning up your bike. What works best for you and really makes the bike look it's best?

I usually just spray it off real good with the hose and take it out for an extensive ride to "dry it off" lol. Upon my return I crack out the turtle wax stain/bug remover. With a bit of rubbing she shines like a mirror. Unless you have grip pads I do not suggest using any sort of wax on the frame. As far as traditional cleaner goes any automotive soap and scratch/lint free pad/towel will suffice.

Wd-40 on the cases to remove grime. Actually all over on the metal parts. Then wipe with a clean towel to remove any excess wd.

I spray it down with S100 (Or simple green which I'm told is the same thing), hose off, towel dry then hit the plastic parts with Plexus and a microfiber cloth. I have detailing rags for the wheels.

I use windex " I use that shi+ on everything" :0)
Lol first I start with the helmet winshild, spray it down and cover with paper towel and let it sit. Next I spray down the bike windshild and lay paper towels on it, let it sit. I spray down all plastics, trim,frame, forks, and rims. I start with cleaning the plastics and then forks (reclean fork legs with WD 40 and polish with cloth) then the rims. I respray everything down while cleaning also. Quick and easy.

I got an all purpose cleaner and it turned the black plastic covers white and speckled my tank and fairings.... Beyond pissed off. Trim restorer fixed the covers until they get wet not sure about the rest of my plastic yet, very unfortunate that this product is labeled safe on plastic ingredients list hydrochloric acid. Never looked until after it happened.

Be careful with the S100!!!!!!!

It will stain the powder coated parts if left on to long.

It does work great but I have a bolt that now has some stains that look like darker paint runs where I didn't get it sprayed all the way off.
