Rancid released a new album a few weeks ago! "Let the dominoes fall" is the name of the album. It's been 6 years. It doesn't beat "...And out come the wolves" of course, but its still pretty good. It has their old school sound which I wish more bands kept *cough Green Day cough* Great riding music thats for sure! [up]

Oh, i will have to check that out for sure.

I was a large Green Day fan when it came to the first 3 albums, but Dookie was marginal and it was all down hill from there.

^^ yup... now they're playing under a different band name just to get smaller turn outs. "Foxboro Hot Tubs"

Yea, Im a big punk fan. I listen to a lot of old punk but I did just pick up that new Rancid and its pretty good. I really like "last one to die". I have been into Dropkick Murphys lately and just picked up a new cd that I like, Gas Light Anthem. Im listing to Suicidal Tendencies right now ha ha.

My MP3 player cycles through a mix of random stuff. But I have a lot of Bad Religion, Social Distortion, and AFI.

correction: Dookie is Greenday's third studio album. I guess you call it their breakout. Regaurdless, they suck after that.

Yes, Dookie was technically the 4th "album" but the first most anyone ever heard of. My personal favorite is 1039 (1991 or 1992?). Kerplunk is also good.

Just to view the eclectic mix of tunes I ride to, some of the other interesting tidbits are:
TSOL
DRI
Megadeth
Public Enemy
Tool
Neurosis
A few tracks off the Judgment Night soundtrack
A few alt.radio plays
Drunk Injuns

Basically a lot of the stuff I grew up skating to in the 80's. Maybe I'm just old, but it's about flow when I ride.

Sorry for the hijack :D

nice to see some other punk rockers that sport a buell, personally not a huge fan of the new rancid albulm, but still way better than most music people are calling punk now adays, but i'm old school like bad brains, guttermouth, dead kennedys, i'll have to save this post and throw up some songs when my band finnally gets through recording for you guys to check out, you may enjoy it got a leftover crack/casaulties sound with a little social D style too

New rancid album and a new Godsmack album the heavens must be smiling down. i am going to see Offspring and Dropkick murphys in indy this month. Outdoor concert! BLOOD, SWEAT, AND TEARS will be shed at that concert![cool]

Gator, you need to check out an album called "Keasbey Nights" You can find it done by 2 different bands, Catch 22 or Streetlight Manifesto. Both are GREAT! Best GO FASTER!! album in the world!

Gator - you must be as old as I am to reference that old Boston not LA song - of course thats THE FREEZE!!!

Does anyone here like any of the harder or more extreme punk stuff?
I listen to a lot of crust / D-beat bands, mostly out of Europe.

Anyway - Maybe I'll catch you at a show and we can have a beer...
Until then - CHEERS.
