sql-lover: YEAH 2 years!! I had left frontal interventricular brain hemmorage and was partially paralyzed on my right side for about 4 months.. and for a long time my equilibrium so screwed up that I couldn't walk in a straight line and if I turned my head too quickly I would stumble and fall over.. it took 2 years until I felt 100% able to handle the lean angles on a motorcycle. HEAD INJURY IS A MO FO! That whole time all I thought about was getting back on a bike... I was in my early 20s at the time and my mom wanted to friggin KILL ME every time I mentioned motorcycles.

I don't even remember the accident, witnesses said I was doing about 70mph through an intersection in a 45 zone and a car ran a red light right in front of me, they said I didn't even see it.. I T-boned the car at the driver door and went over the cab and flew about 100 feet ,hit the pavement and tumbled head over heels for a while and landed in a construction zone on the side of the road down in a pile of steel rebar. They said I got up off the round growling like wild dog for about 5 seconds then keeled over into a coma for a few weeks.. by the time I woke up It was weeks later I didn't even know how I got in the hospital .. I had about 1 month of retrograde amnesia.. I couldn't even remember BEFORE THE ACCIDENT! hahah wiped about a month of memory out.

I never even saw the bike again. I was a Ninja ZX-6... they said it was disintegrated ... the woman that ran the light was miraculously unharmed . The bike must have hit just in the right spot near that door to keep the bike from going into the cab.. I don't know, I never saw the accident scene, this is just based on witness statements.

thanks man, everybody though I was dead for sure or never to come back 100%...that first year I was violent as ****, wanting to fight or to **** everything I saw.. haha The human body is an amazing thing, if you got willpower and luck behind you, you can shake back quite a lot of damage, you just don't want that spine to break on you. I worry more about spinal injury than anything else.. you don't want to be trapped inside your own body.. fate worse than death.

Ya the first thing i did when i hit the ground was make sure i could move my arms and legs. I thought i had broke my neck so i was worried about that. I was in the ER for about an hour and a half with the lights off and no one came in to check on me. I figured i was dead since i was tasting blood at the scene. It was scary for sure

yeah that whole "near death experience" thing kinda wakes you up don't it? hahah .. did you see the tunnel and do the "life review" and all that?
