so i fing went down again OMG.............. this makes 3 times in the past 6 months . . . i was following these 2 bikes and we came to a light and they turned right so i was like well its nice outside ill go play and so i turned then straightned out and hammered it to catch up . . . so still in first i hit it then immediatly fricken started to wobble BAD we are talking full left and right cycles so i let of just praying it would hook up . . . hell no it wobbled for like 2 seconds and bam i was down . . . landed on my butt then the handle bars landed and bruised by inner thigh. . . had all my gear so i was fine except for my tookis it 2 dime size spots of Rash and then i have a huge knot right above my tail bone .

as for the bike handle bars bent to crap left grip and clutch were shaved down . . . dented the damn frame . . . broke the left peg off . . . snapped the end of the shifter off . . .and thats it

im thinking im going to turn it into insurance and get cash and buy it back then part it out . . . i think that dent in the frame totaled it out

all in all im pissed . . . i might be getting a different bike i hate how much that bike wobbled it has done it before but never that bad.

Dude that truly sucks.....Glad to hear you're okay though. Man that bike was lookin' sharp too with that "R" tail and everything. Bummer.

Dang thats crazy. I got bad tank slap the other day too. I just let go of the throttle and it straightened out. It was because I was getting on it on some pretty bad road.
I dunno man. Maybe it's your riding style. 3 times is kindof a lot in 6 months. Maybe someone is trying to tell you something. [confused]

Glad that you didn't get hurt though.

good your ok...but really keep in mind before doing all that.

1) make sure your (good) tires are warm
2) never hit the throttle hard in 1st when in a turn, the power delivery is too high and the tire looses grip

yea i was riding for about 10 minutes all ready so my tires were fine . . . . my guess is that it came off the ground just enough to grip at a weird angle and thats what caused the wobble cause i was completely out of the turn when the wobble started

i mean the bike looks fine honestly the plastics are all fine no scratches other than on the fly screen on the left side most of the damage is in the frame . . . i dont know that bike always had alot of wobble when i would hammer is going straight . . . this has happened before a bunch of times but i stopped the wobble before it got really bad guess this time i just wasnt quick enough

Is your suspension set weird for some reason like the rear preload all the way out or all the way in for height or feel? Just wondering.

climb glad your ok..great time to buy a new bike with every thing being so slow good deals ahead this spring...good luck the new z1000 are looking mighty sharp

i am needing some advice if i turn this into my insurance how much do you all think it will jump? its 37 for full coverage with progressive

hey climber, gotta ask.you said you got some frame damage when the bike went down,i am guessing you were not running any frame pucks, and if you were, would they have prevented the frame damage?i hate the way they look, but if they work might be worth em'

honestly yes i am almost positive it would have saved it cause that force messed it up pretty darn good . . . the pucks probly would have absorbed most of the impact unless they are really stif

Hey clad your ok Climberfreak. So I guess you dont want to go ride next week! Just kidding get better and remember to get back on a bike.

Hey frame pucks work. Had them when I went down and the bike slid on them for about 30 yrds or so and they saved the frame. I will always run with them on the bike.

okay the insurance guy came by tonight he totaled out the bike but i bought it back from them and am going to fix most of it and sell it . . . its keeping a clean title thank goodness
