Well I finally got my D&D put on after a hammer and a drill and metal shears and a large pool of blood!!!! It sounds wicked and pulls hard when you get into it's power band. I love it
Glad to hear everything went so well, what were the issues, and what year model do you have?I want to put a d-n-d on myself but minus the blood part.[smirk]
The only issue i had was the front band clamp and the thing that holds the stock muffler up in the front. And make sure you use an allen wrench thats super strong and not a soft cheap one like I did by mistake. Thats where the blood came from when it broke my elbow hit the cement and split wide open. I had to drill out the allen wrench very very carefully. And the super thick band clamp is kind of a pain but other than that it's pretty easy and straight forward
I liked the mid-range of the D&D but after I had it on the dyno I was disapointed. It got 85 HP. I went back to the Drummer. One reason I wanted to quiet down some but the loss on top bugged me. The Drummer netted me 94 HP.
I'm happy with my D&D. You have to make sure everything is tight. Mine had slightly loosened up and the constant vibration created a crack in the exhaust and also on the front mounting bolt. $30 to have it welded back together and all has been well.
