+1 for wearing a helmet and riding safe!!!

Here in MN, there is not helmet law. I cannot believe how many tools around here act like the streets are a motoGP course, and dont even think to wear gear.

like many others said, the bike can be replaced. your family cannot replace you.

Thanks for the responses guys. I was able to go get my ebr ecm, and exhaust off thie bike this morning, and put all the stock stuff back on. Not pulling the ebr rotor tho.

I initially thought the bike barrel rolled but i lowsided on the left side and it never left that side, so its not as awful as I thought.. but the forks are bent, swing arm is bent, tail is bent, left engine case rashed up, basically everythign is rashed on the left side, aside from the swing are and fork +1 5-0DRO on sliders.

My helmet and jacket saved me... i woulda had my leather pants on, but i was on my way home from work. I'll post pics of the helmet soon.

Feeling pretty sore today.. but glad to be up and around.

And if i do go ktm.. I will still be around this forum. I love the bikes, and will still have an interest in them.

lastly, the bike was fully covered, so if i don't decide to buy it back then I won't have oem parts. I may buy the bike back and part it out as theres lots of good stuff left. I had frame pucs and they dont even look like they hit the ground.

I am thinking of quitting the road.

Dunno how many times you been down but I definitely said the same thing after my first spill. No major injuries - some road rash, minor concussion, jammed wrist. Scared me more than anything else. 6 months later I was back on a bike. Whatever your decision, be careful out there. These things can happen to anyone at anytime.

I am glad you are basically OK. Really glad to hear you were wearing your helmet. I low sided because of gravel on a paved road on a hairpin turn over 30 years ago. My son still has the jacket I was wearing at the time - top layer of the left elbow area missing and all.

I've gone down.various times on dirt bikes, downhill bikes, hit a deer on my tl100r is hs. So I know the feeling. I've been kicking around heading to the track for sime time now. With as much as I've been bouncing around with work, i'd really like to get my fix at the track 3 times a month and call it a day.

I can't see how they wont total the bike, if they dont i be very suprised. I found an rc8 im very interested in, weighing the diffs on an rc8r vs and rc8 cost diff. Also eyeballing rsv4s.
I know the feeling but with a 11 month old baby boy, i think i may want to limit my addiction a controlled environment.
