Went down today

Hopped on my firebolt today to run to my friends work about 3 miles away. Was coming around a turn saw a dump truck he started to pull out in front of me had a car coming the other way so i couldnt swerve. Was on the brakes but it wasnt enough so i layed the bike over instead of hitting the truck was only doing about 30 mph. I figured laying it over was a better call than hitting it and risking another neck injury. It all happened fast. Forgot to suit up was only wearing boots, tshirt, pants and helmet. Should of suited up. The truck was found at fault and got a failure to yield ticket. I got some nasty road rash but i walked away which at the end is all that matters.

Firebolt needs, the bracket that holds on the nose cone, the holes that hold the seat bracketry on snapped. The bolt that holds the shifter snapped. Handle bar, clutch lever, grip

Also going bike shopping tomorrow looking at a superduke a speed triple and an firebolt 12r blue with gold rims at local dealership

Good to hear you're alive. Doesn't sound like too much happened to the bike. Fairing stay, shifter bolt, but not sure what you meant by "holes that hold the seat bracketry" Hopefully that doesn't mean the mounting points on the frame.

yes it is the mounting points to the frame that broke

The previous owner dumped the bike at 60ish so i think that may have had something due to those breaking. May have all ready been cracked there and this is what did it

No broken bones is a great thing! Time for e-bay or Buellster parts to see what he may have. Sorry for your ride but at least it's fixable. You walked away of sorts so glad you are able to do that. Heal up Buell Brother and lets put a small arms missle carrier on it, that should take care of the Damn Dump Truck . Uhh! Driver needs a ass whipping included. We looked it over pretty good tonight ill post up some pics tomorrow. It is sitting at my friends autobody shop and my insurance agent was out there looking at another car she told me they would probably total it. If thats the case ill buy it back and make a hooligan bike or part out what is usable. I was going to turn it in to a weekend warrior soon. Accident or not i was actually going to look at a superduke and a speed triple tomorrow.

From what i was told by my agent is even though i did not hit the truck i can still go after them, do not know how that works. She claimed that it was their fault that i went down even though i did not hit them and they should pay out
