KK was misty/rainy roads wet inbtwn stoplights hit the front brakes and on the tar strips that they fill the cracks with are like ice I lost it went down on the right side AGAIN!! I'm fine helmet hit the ground left a 50cent piece sized srape on the right side of the helmet pulled the signal off the stalk <fixable> bent the brake lever and ground down the ball on the end <fixable> frame puck did it's job again <replaceable again> my concern is I have the Micron exhaust and well the outer tube has road rash and about a 4 inch long dent. Question is does anyone have an outer tube from a micron exhaust that is fubared. From a system that maybe your can is messed up and you can't use the headers or something. I doubt it but doesn't hurt to ask hehe. Or is it just easier for me to try and pull the dent or even cut it out and replace the dent area.

Sucks man, but parts can be replaced, you cant. Glad you are alright. As for the dent I think you are SOL. I covered up my rash with header wrap and could not be happier.

I "WAS" gonna get them coated over the winter so I need to get the dent out somehow hehe if anyone can shed a light on how be much appretiated

Sorry to hear.. But glad you are ok.

As for the pipe, Micron is out of buisness, so you might have some trouble getting parts.
You could have that section mandrel bent at a high performance exhaust shop. have to settle for stainless though.

cap the ends and high pressure, hydroform it back into shape. idk how you could cap the ends without welding though.

Go to a local custom bike builder, have them bend a new piece and weld it in then smooth out all the welds with a file and grinder and send the header off to be ceramic coated.

hey p, sorry to hear you went down!

there is a way to repair the header...if my mind is not messing with me, there should be a link here somewhere on this forum.

i don't have the time to look for it, but i'm 100% sure there's a link for it on here.

Two kinds of bikers on the road... Those of us that have crashed, and those that are going to!

Gonna go with Buell Cru, though you may not have to go to a "Custom" shop. I've had pipe bent at the local muffler shop and then you just need to find someone to weld it in for you. Good luck. Wayne

Glad you will be around to ride another day.We just lost a Navy guy over on the twisties heading to the North Shore area[sad]
