Went for a ride today

I chased a Ducati 1098 around but thats not the reason for the post. Well he had to do some chasing as well

Shift riding shoes [up] First ride and they are nice. Not like full riding boots but a lot more protection than tennis shoes. Very comfy.

Lyndall Gold breaks are awesome, 100% improvement over stock pads. Also the first ride with them and the initial bite is not as abrupt as stock and much more feel and feedback over stock.

Yeah...Lyndall Golds are great. They last alot longer than stocks also.

i have the shift ones in white love em i can ride all day then still walk around in them

I also have the black shift riding shoes, and agree you get more protection and can still walk around in them and not have to worry about blisters or looking like a dork.

Not quite sure about the dork part, but they have definitely saved my foot from being crushed last week when I had gotten side swipped on the FWY.

The boots took a beating, and broke the Clutch Assembly off of the Primary. But I managed one more time not to go down. Damn, I'm strong

But yeah, these boots are definitely a life saver (in my case, a foot saver the left one to be exact)

If I had the above riding gear (especially the Chuck Taylor's All Stars) I'm sure I would've suffered some serious damage to my left foot, because once I dismounted from the "Pegasus", my left foot was bothering me for about 5-10 minutes.

It reminds me of someone i know who crashed while on a track, he slid into a solid wall and completely destroyed his back protector. He only suffered bruising but no long term conditions - moral of the story is imagine what would have happened if he didn't wear the right gear?!
