Were frame pucks standard on any XB12R's?

Curious to know if frame pucks were standard on any XB12R's? I've seen several 2007+ for sale with the frame pucks, and curious if they were ever factory installed, or if they are all aftermarket regardless of year?

To the best of my knowledge, they were factory on all Buells. I might be wrong, but I think that was something that helped with the insurance rates because of vulnerability of our frames/fuel tanks
