Had my first ride in the rain today on my 12S. Reminded me of the BMX mudstripe up the back. My tail isnt even chopped. I was on wet road after it stopped raining and my ass just kept getting wetter and wetter lol. These bikes were definitely not designed with inclement weather in mind.
Are Firebolts this bad as well?

Been there. I road home from work in the pouring rain and the first thing that came to mind was...(wow that rear fender is useless!!!). Okay, this will be detailed so sorry its kinda gross. Water began to run down my butt crack, then funnel down my leg into my boots. What fun!!!!

The rear fender on my Uly isn't much better... I have a decent set of rain pants, doesn't help with the useless fender but good for keeping your ass dry. ;)

Exactly why I haven't done a tail chop and have considered building a Lightning-bolt.

Im starting to think a tail chop wouldnt make much difference..lol. And yeah...pretty gross Rojo lol...but exactly what started to happen to me. Glad it quit raining

I've never noticed it on my bolt but when riding 2up and caught in the rain my passenger always gets the stripe.

Got my girl to put a poncho over leathers. Better than nothing on my Firebolt.

I've ridden a thousand miles in the rain on my 'bolt just a month ago. There is no way to keep dry. I just used textile gear and it dried out fast.

Also note, I used Shinko Stealth 003 ultra soft tires (corndog rain grooves) and very suprisingly they where good rain tires EXCEPT in deep standing water.
