So I got the mail today and there was a postcard to me from Victory Toyota informing me that a part I ordered came in. Well on the front, under my NAME AND ADDRESS, written on was my CREDIT CARD NUMBER and EXPIRATION DATE!! I was pissed! so I put on my gear, go outside and pull my bike out. I went to lean it on the stand so I could start it and let it warm, and the kickstand wasn't down like I thought it was, and I DROPPED IT! I'm an idiot! After having tons of fun lifting that heavy ass thing, I get on my way to the dealership to bitch them out. I'm riding along and my footpeg breaks off!! I look down do see what happened and where I could put my foot, and I look up to see that I'm running a red light(at one of the pointless BS intersections) Well just my luck, a cop was right there. He pulls me over and I told him I know that I ran it and I deserve the ticket. Well he let me go with no ticket which was lucky. So I get to the dealership to bitch out the parts manager, and he tells me he's sorry, but there is nothing that can be done. So I left and went and filed a police report. The officer checked to see if anything was charged to the card, nothing was so that's good. But still, I'm pissed and I want restitution! I had to cancel my card, and it will take 2 weeks to get a new one. This is bad because this was how I pay my bills.

What else can I do?

Wow that was a pretty rough day. Well at least you didn't get a ticket. [smirk] My mom had her card stolen. Cancelled it and they were able to give her a new number w/ exp. date over the phone even though she didn't have the actual card. Maybe that's do-able for you. As far as restitution, dunno besides complaining to the owner of the dealership about their practices.

Dude!!!! what a day. I dropped my bike the same way. I broke the footpeg and clutch lever. That is BS with the dealer. Hope tomorrow is a better day.

never go on out on your when in such a mood...only bad things happen (as you can see).

look at the bright side, as Stevenc150 said, atleast your didn't get a ticket.
maybe you can tell that story every time, see if it works :p

dunno how it is there, but here you get charged for cancelling you creditcard...i would try and get that back from the dealer (even if it was is parts or service)

You're luck is very crappy lately. Let's all hope your streak goes away. Best of luck to you brother.

So the general manager just called me and he was very apologetic. He said he would pay any fees, and give me an full car detail including buff and wax. $170 value. Today is a better day. :D
