Well i have a head start on you lot due to the time difference! So far i have cleaned the IAC and intake, adjusted the primary chain, the clutch and the clutch cable so next job (Julia and weather permitting) is to go run it up to temperature and change the oil (both holes) then clean my reusable oil filter! Oh yeah and paint the shed! Happy days indeed! :eagerness: Edit... forgot i also changed the plugs, giving the Brisk Premium BR12ZC a go to see if they improve anything or not! :eagerness:

I'm headed to work today for some extra OT, but will be out on the bike for a couple hours tomorrow morning! Headed up towards the Water Gap along the Delaware river, nice ride in the morning hours...very few cars, Say hi to Julia for me, and I guess you will be painting that shed black???

Wish I had time to work on my bike let alone ride these days!
I'll be catching up on yard work and putting in some QT with the wife and family all day.
Might stare longingly at my poor Buell and reminisce, while sipping a rum and coke or two, in between chores and QT.
Will probably fire up the old Webber and grill some chicken wings for the wife and kids. Despite not riding or wrenching today will probably be very productive and enjoyable.
Tell Julia the guy across the pond in North Cackalacky send her a smile and a wave!
Hope you guys enjoy your day!

been trying to finish the buffing and polishing of all the plastics. Stopped at the local mom and pop motorcycle store on the way to work today and picked a new set of tires. Been using Michelin PP3's, but picked up a good deal on a set of Dunlop Q3's. They were having a tire sale but didn't have the power pilots in stock in the sizes I need. Just replaced the front and rear wheel bearings and new EBC HH brake pads front and back. I bought the EBR 1190 bore kit this winter and am planning on installing it on a spare motor I have. It's been trying to talking me into putting it on the current motor while I have the body work and wheels off. Very tempting.........

RLB_7657.jpgRLB_7183.jpgFinally got the SV out at lightning today at NJMP, got bumped to the next group after two hits. Fourth hit on the back bowl burned the clutch down at around 118mph and pit in is basically on the race line, that was fun!!!!!! NOT. Got her banged down to first once off the race line and limped her in and loaded her up. Little SV was taking a beating and the shinko apexes were sticking well, zx10 rear shock felt great, stock SV front forks sucked and stock front brakes faded fast. Guess I'll be putting the gsxr front-end on VERY soon. All in all I was very happy w the little SV, a lot faster than I thought she was gonna be.

Chickn shame no bike action but that sounds like a real cool weekend to me! Julia is smiling back at you mate and please say hello to your wife and family from us! we still love that place name of cackalacky it sounds like a japanese motorbike! lol :eagerness: John it sounds like you are working hard then! and mate i would put the 1190 kit on your current motor and keep the spare motor as the spare, using that kit on your bike will make it completely awesome and so enjoyable and then you have your spare engine bog standard to fall back on if you need it or to sell if you have to at anytime! :eagerness: wicked it sure sounds like loads of fun to me, i wish i could do it too! and you learned lots about your bike today but in a bitter sweet way unfortunately but thats what helps you come back faster and stronger! :eagerness:

Wicked, Sounds like you had a good time, do know if they do any track days at Pocono??? Never been on a track and would like to put it on my bucket list! The XB12R would like it too!

Yes we do Pocono, Loudon, NC bike, NYST, VIR, NJMP, DOMINION, SUMMIT POINT, LIME ROCK, and THOMPSON SPEEDWAY. Buell248 don't put it on your bucket list, put it on your EVERY weekend list! Contact Barb from Team promotion. If you get down to my track at NJMP I can get you on track for FREE, gear and everything just bring a machine that will pass tech and a credit or debit card in case you have a get off and wreck the gear. Let me know if you want to set something up for September, I probably won't go back out until then due to the heat now and then ill run all the way til November. PM me if your interested and I'll make sure your first track experience is a good one and be there with you like someone did for me my first time.

Hanging out up here at americade with jl551c, we did some real nice ridding through the Adirondacks, really beautiful. Not that I haven't been up here before but, never on such a nice guided tour. Yeah, we had some crazy weather but managed to get in over three hundred miles with some nice twisties in, some good ice cream also ! Some people got a kick out of seeing two uly's and a lighting ss long, all in the same place at the same time.

First and foremost what's up Julia.... And to answer your question Toan I'm working all weekend just got off at 2pm and have to be back in at midnight to 8am back to morning watch for 3 months.....

Maybe the thread should have been titled what would you rather be doing? I might start that one soon!!!!!

I would think you would have to wire bolts that are involved with Fluid drainage.

No Buell riding today, had to work in the morning, then I did a P90X3 workout, watched F1 Qualifying, and the wife and I took Lusi out to dinner. I had a spirited drive home as an Alpha Romeo 4C Spider learned that my car is not something you can walk away from when it's already in 3rd gear. LOL.
So, A good day overall. I'd love to do a track day at some point, but I am working my way back into shape after 4 hip surgeries. Maybe Next year

Chaps you lot thread jack away i dont mind! ha ha djs Julia says hi! (it still makes her smile when buellers ask about her!) and one thing i have learnt from this thread and various others is that Americans do work real hard so you all deserve your hard earned bikes, cars, toys so enjoy them any chance you get! :eagerness:

Toan, if you check out the news we just had one of the deadliest mass shootings in US history, and the crazy thing is as a federal officer I can tote guns off duty in places that other people can't. Yet even if my job requires me to carry a firearm on duty I'm not allowed to carry one until I get to work and get issued it so that time when I'm traveling from my home to work stopping for gas and in uniform I'm vulnerable because I'm not allowed to have a weapon on me or in my car and will lose my job and be prosecuted.. Make sense no not to me either.

^^^ Mate yeah we have been watching that on the news its unbelievable! so many people dead and probably more to come yet its terrible!! Some of the laws around the world defy belief i mean what is the reasoning behind that law you mentioned? who are these law makers!!

[SUP][/SUP]I have a lot Id like to say but I want to keep this motorcycle related.
Finally got some wrench time.
Front end is finally done. Time to focus on the tail.
