Sounds like it's going to look sweet. What's the black spray paint on the frame, swing arm and cover? You painting them aswell?

I'm doing new blinkers, hoping to figure out some Led strips mentioned on here before, new tail light(s). and some accent lighting.

It's just so damn cold to get into the garage.

Is that a camero in the background?

thanks, the frame/swing arm will be gloss black and the covers texture black.im doing the led strips as well, you can get them cheap at auto zone or pep boys etc. im putting red ones in the scoops and tail air holes. yep thats my 72 ss first winter it was restored stock..2nd winter street machine,3rd winter a race car,4th-6th winter full on road racer that is street driven and won the world of wheels...see what i mean about winter projects..we need them where it snows up to are a$$! as far as heat i run a propane mushroom heater ..its warmer than my house!

I rotated the engine and replaced all the engine gaskets, wrapped my header, got all new scoops including the big factory right ride, hid's, satin black painted swingarm & frame and everything that was silver on the bike, cleaned everything really well, and XB12 Primary & chain swap. I still have to put the triple trees back on the bike and then rebuild the forks. Once I get a primary case gasket and also a new tensioner block the engine will be closed up and ready to fire.

Im going to paint my exhaust can today! I finnaly took it off. It was so much easer then I thought.

Painting and switching from stock handle bars to the crossroads. RSS, LED Turn sigs, Replaced stock instrument panel with the Kleen design from PGD along with LED replacement bulbs, 6000kw bulbs in headlights, head light grill, breather re-route, exhaust mod (drilling a hole to make a little more noise), tail chop, paint the gray chin black, hooked up the deltran quick connect to the body, heats heilding the airbox and seat, carbon fiber heel guards

Still to come:
New levers
Mirrors
clutch and brake levers
lsl foot pegs
LED accent lights
LED tail light
free spirits pulley cover
carbon fiber front fender
kickash air box

im thinking of taking apart the exhaust like the post in making you own exhaust. just got out bid on a race exhaust for the 5th time. just picked up all the stuff for the breather mod..except i have some old an braded hose left to use..in case the pressure gets over 2000 lbs! and picked up some dupli color black wheel paint and clear..back in the garage time.

Tail chop, signals, dremeling the pulley removing a few bits, possibly painting it white, and maybe a low seat if I can find one

Man i need to head up to your heated shop and work with ya. I dont have a clue what iam doing haha
Took mine to friends heated shop (65ish)
Tail Chop and Muffler mod by Randy Hawkins installed
Buell stickers on Air Box & Air box protecter
Frame Pucks
K&N and Iriduim performance plugs
Wax & Polish
New Swing arm oil (still trying to figure it all out)[confused] Painted Heel guards and Pegs
Hopefully in spring replace ALL FLUIDS possible

if all goes well with the new loft and that doesn't eat all my cash away...i would do

- new tps sensor, cause mine is 'kaput' :p
- new tail
- painting rear brackets
- new bearings
- new drivergear for oil pump

Planning on ripping the exhaust apart to redo it. Has no back pressure so I know I am losing power with it, sounds killer but needs some work.

Also planninng on a new paint job with my extra set of plastics, should give it an old school look but keep the modern feel.

Otherwise I changed the brake pads and added a smoked lense.

Well this winter i plan on riding mine,:p Haa haa Just kidding guys, It doesnt get cold down here in south Texas. But your rides will be more trick than mine[sad] Oh well happy Moding[up]

Installing the Protapers I got from Joel9, new Comfort Grips, hopefully a tail lift from "lowdownchopshop", Slim Turn Signals, Modifying license plate bracket along with some serious cleaning and polish.

I plan on going to look at mine in a month or so, then cry when I look outside and see 3' of snow on the ground. =(

As far as mods, I don't think I'm going to do a whole lot. If I do anything, I may re-do the paint on a couple of the parts that clouded up on me when I did the flat black. (the gauge/headlight assembly mainly.) I'll probably just hit them with the same truck-bed liner stuff I did the frame highlights with. And I'd like to take the mesh out of the cutouts I did on the airbox and paint them orange. Maybe do a little touchup on the other orange paint. (got a couple rock chips)

Just little things for me until I'm finished with the break-in and do the first service on it. 2009 CR, by the way:

- ASB Seat Retaining pins (done)

- Buell Traction grips (not installing until I decide if I'm going to do the high bar swap or not ... I'm a large 6'2" and the clubmans aren't bad right now for me, but I haven't done any touring yet)

- De-noid (waiting until after break in is complete ... in ~120 miles the 'noid hasn't affected me yet)

- DDM 55W HID kit (can't decide if I want the most light output (4300K) or a little bluish tint for style (6000K or 8000K))

- 1" drop rider foot pegs (can't decide which to go with, though (aftermarket, Uly, etc.))

- Not this winter, but eventually I want to get a tailight from XBLights.com

Ridin mine every day. So Cal makes for a great winter. I'll be modding my exhaust but not sure if I want to hack my stocker or do some one-off work. Trying to get the guts to chop the tail. Also need to do the breather mod and toss my charcoal canister. Already did 6000k HID and LOVE IT!

I'll be putting a new rear tire on and mostly cleaning it up so it's nice and shiny for spring :)
