I bought a one to see if me and my wife would use it.
we did and loved being able to talk and point out things let eachother know if somethings wrong ,wich way and where we are going,it even saved usbeing able to tell her to watch out a few times.
the problem its junk its a shark shkmbt881..so dont buy one..unless your interest in buying ours!
it is hard to pair up every time and hit the wrong button and start over while you are riding, but the worse is turn it up loud enough to hear and it squeels a loud high pitch screek in your ears..it sucks. it does fit on the helmet good, the headphones tucked up in the helmet great and the battery last for a day or 2.
we dont care about the phone but want to listen to the gps and maby a I pod if i ever get one.
we want to upgrade to a good one but dont want to get stuck with another junk system. I tred a chatter box but it was only ok has anyone tryed the cardo? it sounds best but do not want to spend $300-$600 just to talk to my wife...

I wouldnt spend 30$ to talk to my wife. Lol i'll stick to the iphone music and gps

I use the cardo g4. I use it for music and phone it works great but not loud enough for me but I may be part deaf so I'm told. Haven't used comm to comm but the radio works good and ipod works perfectly. Also phone calls are clear as day with no wind noise on their end so I can't see the comms being different. The fit is nice but I hate how big the module is. Wish they would make it smaller

I would spend $30 to not talk to my x wifes. but my current wife has a brain and knows as much as I do ,so its good to share thoughts on the road, expecally on long trips.
the cardo sounds good, hope I can find one for a decent price.

the module is still huge why cant they just make something small and not as noticeable. if the speakers are better hopefully they will make it so u can by the speakers separately so that we can just swap speakers for the g4

i haven't seen the g9 as i'm no longer in the market, but having a scala cardo system now, i wouldn't use anything else. Scala products [up]

i don't think any system is perfect as they all have their flaws, but you can't go wrong with Cardo systems. Escpecially if its on sale!!!

cool ,I orderd the g4 for $289 shipped thanks rt! cant wait to try it.
anyone want to buy a shark 500m bluetooth intercom..it has a firebolt and a lightning on the package..collectors item?

Here's a copy of the post.

Get a Scala G4 Powerset for $289 shipped to any address in the lower 48 states! That’s $200 off retail!

The Scala Rider G4 Motorcycle Headset is the latest intercom system from Cardo Communication Systems. The G4 allows up to one mile of voice-activated bike-to-bike communication between two bikes with passengers or three separate riders. The device also works with your mobile phone to receive incoming calls with either the touch of a button or by voice command. You can even receive audible instructions from your GPS system or listen to an MP3 player via Bluetooth technology too! The built-in FM tuner permits you to listen to the radio, which is especially nice on longer rides. You can expect ten hours of talk time or one week of standby on a single charge.

The device fits to most helmets without permanent modification by a simple clamping mechanism. Dual low-profile speakers are Velcro-backed to stay in place within your helmet and a noise-canceling microphone boom is adjustable so you can position it exactly where you need. The narrow wires are easily hidden behind a helmet’s comfort liner and stay out of the way. Velcro pads are also included for installing the system on helmets that are less-than-suitable for the standard G4 Powerset attachment scheme.

Each Scala Rider G4 Powerset comes out of the box with two communicators as a pre-matched pair, all you have to do is charge it and you’re ready to ride!

You can read more about these on our website but you gotta call Mike at 866.931.6644 ext 804 to get these at this killer price! If you have any questions, please feel free to send a note to FORUM at RIDERSDISCOUNT dot COM with SCALA G4 POWERSET in the subject line and we’ll get back to you right away.

I've had the BlueAnt F4 for almost 2yrs now, pretty good unit, one of the speakers went and its looking like they have dropped it from production.

Next I'm going to go with the Sena SMH10.
I think the Jog Dial just makes sense on a bike.

Sena smh-10.. mine works flawless! excellent volume levels and fidelity through the speakers.. decent range, and they look pretty good too. Check em' out..
