Had a surprise speedometer inspection [down]

The officer informed me it was correctly calibrated at the displayed speed of 98mph... in a 70mph zone. :p

I stripped the forks, triple tree, kickstand, and shock off as I'm trading it to someone for their SCG suspension.
I also stared at the screw in my back tire and asked why it had to ruin what appeared to be an almost brand new tire on a bike I only owned for 3 days.

Rode my bicycle 14 miles to go pick her up. Thats what I get for selling my truck for a sports car.

Then proceeded to go for a 2 hour ride

Installed gold anodized Fork Preload Adjusters on my Firebolt XB12R:

First time posting in this thread. Today I installed my smoke see-thru timing cover. Very simple install.

Installed new Bates drive belt. Photos taken before belt guards were re-installed only so you can see the new belt:

I kept my previous belt as a back-up. I changed the belt because it was showing some of the types of minor damage that the Service Manual recommends replacing the belt if it showed such damage. I got the bike in Nov. and it had 15K miles on it, so I do not know if that was the original belt, or how many miles are on the old belt.

Man your doing it all wrong ^^^^^ as long as your not going over 100 mile radius I would have ran the old belt till it broke then put the new one on.

Today I looked at my bike again and thought about putting my new tires on. But then cracked a beer... And figured that heres no cord showing yet, and whats another day.I've already been procrastinating for a week.

I don't need no new stinkin' tires until they look like this:

YMMV,

Installed my new 200/50 rear tire. Previous tire was 180/55 and only had a little over 400 miles on it, but I wanted the widest rear tire that would fit on my XB12R Firebolt:

LOVE the profile and width of the contact patch of the 200/50! Of course I haven't really gotten on it yet, being it's not broken in yet, but so far the ride quality is great, and doesn't seem that much different than the 180/55, certainly not worse. Here is my previous rear tire:

Just a simple cosmetic and protection mod.

I actually did the tank pad 2 days ago. The throttle side Pegasus yesterday and ran out of time so I did the primary side today. :p
